Wrap up.

A wrap up for this year's Chinese New Year.

I had lotsa fun this year. Each of my offdays is filled with activities and outings and foods and fats and yes I've gained weight T_T Even my colleague asked me if I'm fatter than a month ago fml.

Anyways, went to 2 open houses on 2 continuous Thursdays. The first one is Daddy Chen's and the second one is Mommy Kong's. Such names cos they're damn loving to each other wan. Cannot be separated or else they will be verysuperduperextraordinary passive :/ Here's a proof :D

Day 15 & 16

Another combined post :p

I think I will start blogging about my internship weekly instead of daily cos I find myself typing "Nothing much today" for like donkey times :/ Okok let's do that next week after I'm done with this one!

Event today is located at KLCC Plenary Hall, Exxon Mobil Business Performance and Leadership Talk.

*yawn Another boring guailou event pfft.

Unlike the one in Genting Arena of Stars, this is actually a very small event and I love small events aww especially indoor ones with aircond blasting the room ! :D FYI I rather work in a freezing cold place rather than hot sunny places like outdoor parking at Bukit Jalil which I skipped cos the boss thought I'm too sleepy when he caught me sleeping in the staffroom wtf I should feel grateful now hehehaha wtfwtf.

Ok back to why I love small events with small location. Cos it means lesser cameras, lesser rolls of cables to roll and carry, smaller field coverage and I don't have to run around too much. Yes I know I'm eff lazy but try standby for long hours with no proper seats to rest on and it will explain why I am so lazy T_T

On the actual event I have to sit on the floor, leaning against the hard boxes only although the place has very comfy seatings like a mini theatre. Oh I'm sitting down cos basically the cameras are still so I do not have to assist the cameramen. Sat on the floor and took a short nap during the event pfft I hope my boss don't see this :x

The event ended at 1pm, got back the office at 3pm and I was sooo happy about it ^_^ Cos I can go home earlier hehehaha that's why I appeared at your house, Mr KongMC! Thanks for the food *nomnomnom Oh and your seaweed crackers hahahahahahaha *mukatembok

Day 13 & 14

I just realized that I totally forgot to blog about my day 13 @ internship!

Nevermind I'll just combine both since it's more or less the same =_=

Ok nothing much. I know I'm repeating this for god knows how many times but seriously it's pretty much a slacky day when there are no events to shoot. Checked the cables again. I've been doing this since last week and I'm getting tired of it =_= One of the cables is uh electrocuted wtf is that the right word? :s
So we need to find where is the exact spoilt part of the 200 metres cable! It took me 1 whole hour to go through the entire cable lor and I didn't expect this damn cable is THAT heavy! I think I'll have sexy biceps if I do this everyday :D (wtf)

Also, packed equipments for this coming Wednesday to Friday's event. There's 2; KLCC and Hilton/Sheraton. I'm not sure cos they never really brief us about it and I didn't bother to ask cos I was told that I'm going to KLCC so who cares about Hilton or Sheraton pfft.

I don't know if I should be happy or upset staying in the technical department cos the working time and environment sucks. It's a messy and dirty job as well but I get to see many things myself. Unlike being in editorial department, I can get aircond room and fixed working hours and I can wear any bimbotic clothes I want! But...Seriously, I don't know. But I can still adapt working in the store room although I look damn unglam since I don't put on makeup to work. Aih. My stupid friend said I look like a man fml.


It's been a long time since I last say this.

Bee Pang 米棒  (Rice Crackers)

This is homemade by my grand aunt. Although she don't know who I am at all wtf bau-bau bacang relative but I know that she's good in making this rice crackers. It's so good and less sugary or oily like the ones I bought outside. One of the Hainanese delicacies :D Yums.

Penang Yukkon 肉干 

It doesn't look appetizing at all but lo and behold wtf do not judge a book by its cover cos this tastes totally awesome crazy possum! It's a lump of yukkon instead of a sliceee! I don't know what's the actual name but I was told that it's from Penang thus Penang Yukkon :x Ok whoever who visited Penang please please get this back for me!

Seaweed crackers!

KONG MUN CHEONG! This is the seaweed crackers I meant! Not senbei seaweed! Next time buy this for me ok =D I prefer the one with only 1 layer of the brown skin :D Got hooked on with this after AndyC's cny open house last year pfft.

Ok they're all food only hehehaha 8D

The new year is not over yet but the cookies at home are finishing soon @_@

Day 12

I'm so happyyy I don't have to go shooting today! Plus it's a half day work today! Still, I'd prefer if it's an offday instead pfft.

As expected, I did not do anything considered productive in the office today lols. Stayed in the editing room until nearly 12pm cos the store keeper wasn't there yet. Bummed around and ate cny crackers while waiting wtf. The only thing I did today was unrolling the stupid 200 metres Triax cable to check which part of the cable has electricity shock in it (?) Is that how they say it wtf don't know la. Don't really have the mood to type today's entry but I still have to do it so I won't forget what to write in my weekly report later wtf.

Ate cny cookies again while playing with my ipod until 2pm.

Then I went home.

meh. such a boring post.

Do you know I was so tired that I slept in the living room cos I can't walk to my room to get my towels and stuffs to shower wtf. Got up at 6am, sleep-showered. Then went back to sleep again.

And I have backache since I started my job T_T I seriously have no idea how the staffs there can endure it they're my hero T_______________T wtf.

Day 11

Worked for 14 hours today!

I got a call from my boss yesterday telling me that I have to go to Astro Bukit Jalil for shooting today and I was so so so soooo emo about it cos it means OT on the first day of work some more! :(
Anyways I didn't go to Astro in the end cos I think my boss caught me dozing off in the resting room and he asked me to help out in the store so I can go back earlier at 6pm and get ready for another event in KLCC tomorrow.

But right after 20 minutes later, I was told that the KLCC event is today not tomorrow so off we go rushed to KLCC and trala that's why there's no difference at all pfft oklah at least I can leave the office at 2pm tomorrow compared to the other interns they have to go Bukit Jalil again FTL

Too bad I didn't bring my camera or else I could capture the superduperextra grand decorations there :( It's a Chinese style dinner for all these angmohs and they're all mesmerized by the beauty of it cos it's damn glam seriously! Even the yeesang bowl has to be made by an ice block carved into a fish =_= The bowl is for each of the guests somemore! Hardcore gila this event. Oh, and Elaine Daly was the host. I couldn't remember who she was until she introduced herself to the floor lols failed.

Got back the office at nearly 12am and thankiu okm for picking me up T_T

I need to sleep. Nights.

Day Ten

This is the busiest day in my office since I started my internship. Evon took an earlier offday today cos she's going back to Penang. So, I have to do her leftover jobs in the editing room. Started my day by cutting movie trailers for Golden Screen Cinemas whee. Nothing new it's just like watching trailers in cinema wtf but then I have to separate it since all of them come in a bunch in tapes.

Next was choosing nice footage of a nightclub event watheff this is damn boring cos the club was filled with many uncles D: And I hate it since it's an event to promote ciggies pfft. Define KL event at KL Live. Anyone went there?

I got a hard time surviving cos the supervisor was damn scary.

Aih fml max. But it's better to stay in editing room to learn something rather than rotting in the store room with very limited space and aircond T_T

Day Nine

Hahaha he's so cute cos when we asked him to pose for picture, he was like

"Okay yay come let's take a picture!" and lifted one of his legs up with peace sign lol thus the missing leg cos he's lifting it XD This is during rehearsal a day before the concert.

After the rehearsal ended! Bobby 老师 walked past us and gave us a stare wtf

Day Eight

I slept in the editing room omfg.

The day is much more dull than yesterday. We literally have nothing to do lollers because people from Astro was here to learn about our HD cams. The storeroom was crowded and we went to the editing room instead.

Let's just wait til after CNY and there will be plenty of events for us to cover. I feel like I didn't learn much yet. :/

Day Seven

I can't blog about the said continuous part of the concert in GentingH because my friend is a great cavewoman she never come online and give me pictures since she has a life in real world unlike mine virtual world wtf

Went to office like any other usual days. Nothing much to expect today cos CNY is approaching and there will be no events to cover for the time being. Ok maybe there is one on 14/02 at but our Malay colleagues will do that cos it's Chinese New Year! One of the best part about having multiracial staffs in a company :D

Nothing much to do today. Watched Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 wtf and played with my iPod.

My rusty flats. I hurt my toe last weekend and I couldn't walk in shoes :( Should've wear flipflops instead haihs. I was chilling in the resting room and took off my flats. This smart guy proceed to wear one side of my flats and said that I haz big feet cos even he can fit in my shoes. Watheff he didn't fit in at all the jeans were covering the back of the sole.

Jo wasn't there with us cos she's afraid to go out at night HAHAHA since she's the same room with our ladyboss. So it's a midnight date for the two of us and we went to McD wtfwtf cos we're fat and he owed me many college bus tickets :D! *kiam

Day Six

I'm still feeling exhausted from the concert and I'm amazed how the other senior crews can actually tahan so long and they did more things that me! :s I'm working with a bunch of crazy people.

So...

I woke up late today at 9.35am fml my work starts at 10am! Skipped makeup and breakfast and thanks to Dad and the smooth traffic, I was late for only 5 mins; compared to my classmate who was late for 40 minutes lol fhl cos she overslept too!

Oh yeah about the makeup-less face part, my colleague - a Malay girl; she asked me

"Kenapa mata you bengkak hari ini?" FML Apparently she never know what's mata sepet and how they look like T_T

My other colleague, suddenly said

"Bayangkan Myke feminine...Mesti lain kan?" FMLx2 We knew each other for like only a week and he already said this. I swear I didn't do anything brutal there. And I did dress up on the first day I work ok. cry//

Anyways I'm working in a store why should I be bothered to dress up anymore when I need to carry stuffs like a man. Meh D: The late classmate laughed at me and she asked if she's better than me. Nobody answered her HAHAHAHA serves her right :x

Day Four and Five

Soooo!

I went to GentingH (again) this time. But it wasn't for fun it was a work thing! *serious

Arrived at the office at 6am on Friday morning what an ungodly hour it used to be my bedtime T_T I thought I'd be the earliest one but guess what all of them were there already minus me and my coursemates wtf damn failed.

We're not late okay just that they were too early! 

Carried stuffs; basically the cameras, cables, control units, monitors and some other things I don't know what are their names cos textbooks did not cover this part wtf. How can they carry all these heavy stuffs so efficiently fast har har har one damn control unit needs 6 men to carry it and some more only carrying it from truck to trolley. No one can carry it while walking wtf. There's nothing much I can carry all alone cos I'm a weak girl wtf ok I know it sounded so wrong but I admit failure here I can't do anything alone! Kinda useless T_T I didn't know it's this crazy heavy and it is seriously a kuli job :s

I dread the carrying process. But the all cables pulling and rolling is the worst. Meh. I hate them. They're all 50 metres, 100m, 120m and so and guess what I always tangle them all together FML and all the senior staffs will give me mean remarks except one cameraman la haih I don't know his name but we call him Emil Chau wtf. Too bad I still can't catch up the method he taught me and the it became worst. FAILED. They already rolled like 10 ok maybe 3 or 4 rolls of cables and I haven't even done with 1 at all. Seriously at that time of my life I wanted to become a guy wtf so I can at least contribute some help becoming kuli T_T Btw did I say handling the cables will definitely makes your hand become rough and dry and dirty? T_T Dirty can wash lah but rough and dry! I was so paranoid I went to buy handcream today wtf. So sad ok I'm now full of injuries. Cedera parah *quotes Jess. T_T_T_T_T

The easiest part of my job during the show was, I got nothing to do! Ok not literally nothing to do at all but I was there to run around just in case they need help from the control room to the stage. Mind you it's Arena of Stars and I lost count how many times I run up and down the steps. Genting should do something about it. The steps are sooo small that anybody could trip on it :s Bad design! Oh yeah and also build an elevator instead of steps for any crews to move their damn equipments into the underground control room lah why put stairs when it's so freaking hard to carry them up and down T_T 

Ok back to what I did. Not like I really didn't do anything at all T_T I handle the wireless intercoms for the floor managers, earpiece for the hosts, replacing batteries wtf, sticking the cables onto the floor using duct tapes and I don't know why they call it 'gaffer' here. I thought gaffer is someone else :s Textbooks' fault. *blames

I have no pictures so I couldn't really tell precisely what's what. Pics are with Jo and I bet she's having fun right now pfft.

Day Three

I wasn't feeling my best today.

Carried cables and equipments to and from the truck today. Rolled the cables. Observed editors doing their job. Swallowing the wrath of an unfriendly editor. Had very salty chicken for lunch. Met the boss and the ladyboss; both are very nice people. The ladyboss is so cool ok she is super tough and she can handle all these stupid heavy expensive boxes like a real man T_T_T_T And she has biceps too so cool! Imma gonna be like her one day wtf

The real training will start tomorrow. My day will start at 6am tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I learnt that voicing out my opinion will somehow cause conflicts.
I was wrong about being wanting to express my feelings to people.
Not everyone could be bothered about how I feel.

Ok I need to create a new makeup routine now! Shit I hate putting on eyeliners to places where you don't really get to go out :x Wasting my effort. Not like anyone will see it. pfft.

Guess what, my coursemate told me he felt safe when he's around me cos my eyes can scare ghosts FMLMAX.

Did nothing much today cos the boss is not back yet. Slacked in the store and learnt stuffs about cameras and lenses. Helped packing stuffs for an event in Johore. I don't know where I am going yet. Let's just hope it's gonna be amajing and fun.

Oh yes I've got the call from my hairstylist. I'm going back to dye my hair again this weekend.
I already told him I've got super stubborn hair D:

Day One

First day of internship. It was exactly what I've imagined! *smacks

It was boring because there is no shooting project! Nay!

I was picked to transfer videos from tapes to the Macintosh. Did it until lunch time, then my course mates' turn to do it after lunch. Wandered in the store room; the place where they keep all sorts of amajing alienated cameras, stands, lights, booms, wires and many other things that I've never seen nor heard before. The staffs and other interns from a polytechnic in Perlis taught us quite a lot of stuffs today.

There's a total of 9 interns. No cute guys. My course mate is the best looking one already although I hate to admit it pfft. Anyways, got conned wearing semi-formal today D: wtf I'm gonna wear my trusty old school shoes tomorrow! Aching feet right now D: D:

It was just introduction. But it's eye-opening.
It's a dirty job. But I'm still fascinated by it. Let's see how long can I stand before I beg to go back to preproduction and postproduction jobs.

I'm just worried about my results. And also transportation to work. I might have to standby anytime or go outstation for events shootings. Let's hope someone with car is willing to send me home ;(

I miss my boi. 

Anxious

I had too much fun during these 7 days. Each of them are very very carefully utilized. But yet, time is flying too fast and I can't believe I'm going to my industrial training tomorrow T_______T It wasn't anything big, but I demand rests and entertainment. 1 week is definitely not enough! Bleh.

26 Jan - Finished my last paper at 11am. Dyed my hair which the color didn't really show anyways FML.
27 Jan - Went up to GentingH all by myself bleh I rock.
28 Jan - Came back from Genting and slept one entire day at home.
29 Jan - Okm's birthday dinner.
30 Jan - Cousin wedding. Spent one entire day at kampung.
31 Jan - Company lunch. Jci's birthday party at night.
1 Feb - Woke up at 5pm. Rested at home. Now I'm gonna take my shower and force myself to sleep T_T

Anyhows. February is always my favorite month. Let's hope it's gonna be a good good month for me.
